This YRS3 descant recorder from Yamaha is excellently tuned to provide a rich and brilliant sound that can compete with more expensive wooden recorders. It features an attractive simulated ebony finish, and it is constructed from durable and easy-to-clean ABS resin. The body comprises of 3 parts that assemble and disassemble easily, and a small pot of grease is supplied in case the joints become stiff over time. It also comes with a convenient carry bag, a detailed fingering chart, and a cleaning rod.

The recorder has an ‘arched windway’ that allows for any condensation to drain easily and therefore not interrupt the sound. It provides a suitable amount of air resistance for easy control while also offering more resistance for more experienced players. As a result, the tone is crystal clear and projects well, making this the ideal recorder for beginners and pros alike.

The traditional baroque fingering system of the YRS324B is similar to that of professional-level models, meaning it holds good intonation.
