What is eTPU Technology?

eTPU, or Expanded Thermoplastic Polyurethane, is a lightweight, cushiony material used to provide exceptional shock absorption and energy return. It consists of small, air-filled thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) beads that are steam-expanded and fused together, creating a “bouncy” effect by absorbing and quickly releasing energy.

What is CLD?

Constrained Layer Damping (CLD) is a technique for reducing vibration and noise in stiff structures by sandwiching a viscoelastic material (VEM) between two constraining layers, typically stiff materials. When the structure vibrates, the constraining layers cause shear deformation in the VEM, which dissipates the vibrational energy and converts it into heat, thus damping the vibration and sound radiation.
