First introduced on tour to players who prefer the setup and performance characteristics of a traditional plumbing neck but were looking for long, rail-like alignment features in the flange, Scottys new Phantom 7.2 provides a solution for both.
Sharing the same outline as the popular Phantom 7 and 7.5, the new Phantom 7.2 includes Scottys popular I-beam-style plumbing neck for blade-like setup and feel in a high-MOI mallet. Elegant sight dots milled into the topline in conjunction with the elongated sight lines in the flange instill confidence at address.
Lightweight 6061 aircraft grade aluminium sculpted into a seashell pattern forms the sole/flange component of this perimeter-weighted, multi-material mallet.
I-Beam Plumbing Neck
The precision milled I-beam plumbing neck design gives the Phantom 7.2 a clean industrial look with slightly more toe flow and face awareness than the mid-bend shaft configuration of the Phantom 7 and slightly less than the jet neck of the Phantom 7.5. For players used to setting to and aligning with a plumbing neck blade, its a seamless transition into a mallet.
Full Contact Grip
Each Phantom model has a new Full Contact paddle-style grip, uniquely shaped and custom-designed with a chain link texture for more contact, comfort and better face angle awareness for confidence-inspiring performance in all conditions.
Multi-Material Construction
Each Phantom mallet incorporates a design methodology using complementary materials to achieve desired performance at a preferred length and weight by integrating precision milled 303 stainless steel with lightweight 6061 aircraft aluminium fused with updated vibration damping technology.
