In 2002, the championship race between Brndby IF and FC Copenhagen was tight. Going into the penultimate round, the two clubs were level on points and were set to face off in Parken Stadium. With just a few minutes left in the match, Mads Jrgensen smashed in a powerful volley to equalize 1-1 for the blue and yellow. In the following round, Brndby secured the club’s 9th championship title.
