E Series Controlled Heating Mantles, 50ml-These mantles have an energy regulator, which uses a time proportional double pole system to ‘ramp’ the heater giving stable control and reducing any risk of overheating the liquid. A dial setting allows approximate temperature selection up to 450C. A soft fibre glass woven mantle provides good impact protection and the close surface contact allows optimum heat transmission to the flask. The elements are insulated from the case by moulded silica powder to give excellent thermal insulation and very low case temperatures.
