Aluminum ammonium sulfate dodecahydrate acts as a crystalline double sulfate. It is used in water purification, in vegetable glues, in porcelain cements, in deodorant, in tanning and in fireproofing textiles. It serves as an ingredient in animal repellant sprays. Further, it is used in the preparation of Alum (Al(OH)3) gel. In addition, it is used in cosmetic formulation, fertilizers, food preservation and in the heating system.
